I haven't really noticed the wind so far(!), but it did feel slightly colder than New York. Luckily though, it has been quite sunny.
The Chicago office is our US headquarters and it is much nicer than our old and now extinct New York office. Although our old office was on Park Avenue in the heart of Manhattan. That's hard to beat!
My apartment is located several blocks away from the lake and next to the Magnificent Mile with all its shops and restaurants. The pace of life is slightly calmer and it was actually surreal hearing a plane flying overhead for the first time in ages! Even shopping for food is that much easier. Less of a frantic chaotic rush, more of a sedate cruise around the store. It takes twice as long, but it's a much better experience!!!
